Obama Wrong on the Economy

June 10, 2008 / by newsjunkie365

Why is it that every election cycle the Democrat party candidate always whines and complains that taxes on the "evil rich" are too low and should be raised?  Well, this election cycle is no different.  We have the Democrat controlled Congress bitching about it and trying to ram it through, Obama said yesterday that taxes on the rich should be raised, and the sad fact is that most of the dumbasses in America will believe this crap.

Don't these Democrat candidates stop and think (I know, that is an oxymoron) about what impact raising taxes will have on the American economy?  When taxes are raised on the so-called "evil rich," which not only comprises individuals but a large number of small business owners in this country who report their individual and business income on a single tax return, there is less capital for small businesses, or other companies for that matter, to invest in expansion and hiring.  Thus, as the tax rate increases, the unemployment rate increases because employers cannot afford the additional tax burden on their companies.  Furthermore, when the unemployment and tax rates increase, there are more people asking for government handouts, which fuels futher Democrat vote buying programs(which the government cannot afford) that take more money out of the pockets of Americans.

And instead of bitching about taxing the so-called windfall profits (there is no such thing), maybe Congress could actually do something about the oil crisis we are facing in America.  Drilling should be opened immediately in ANWR, the Dakotas and off the coasts of Florida and North Carolina; exploration of oil shale should commence in Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado; urge the oil companies to start building refineries (we haven't built one in this country in over 30 years); and begin construction on more nuclear power plants.  If all these actions are taken, then it might buy us some time to figure out suitable alternative energy sources, which are currently being developed.  And a news flash for Democrats: the energy companies are already investing their profits into finding new sources of energy for the growing demand that we face.  But Democrats fail to realize the difference between profits and profit margins, go ahead...look it up and be surprised!

So in closing, Obama is just plain wrong on the economy.  The same old "tax and spend" policies just do not fit with the 21st Century.  Get with the program Senator, rasing taxes does not work.

P.S.  Remember that part of the Democrats "Six for '06" agenda was that they would do something about the rising cost of gas.  As you can see, they have done nothing.  Remember that on Election Day!

You're right about thinking Democrats being an oxymoron.  Democrats don't think, the FEEEEEL.  As long as they feel good about it or about themselves it must be okay, because, well because everything is relative to them.

I heard Obama make a comment months ago about not looking to the old hippy past (not his exact words, but that was the gist of it) to get things done - so instead he wants to go back to the disco past and repeat the four lost years of the Carter Administration?  I remember those days and they were the American dark ages.  Seriously.  Obama thinks he's "changing" things but it's going to be the same ole same old liberal empty promises.

    Good post!

You are right on the money!  This is why McCain has been persistent in trying to get Obama to agree to those Town Hall debates with him.  If Obama agrees to the town hall debates, he will be exposed for who he really is.

    Thanks for stopping by.
